TriAltus’ highly pure, tag-free LbCas12a is ideal for genome editing, CRISPR diagnostics, and multiplexed gene targeting. This recombinant enzyme, from Lachnospiraceae bacterium, is expressed in E. coli and includes two C-terminal nuclear localization signals (NLS). LbCas12a is a Class 2, Type V-A CRISPR nuclease that cuts DNA at thymine-rich PAM sites (5’-TTTV), creating staggered 5' overhangs for precise gene insertion. It also processes its own guide RNAs, making it well-suited for editing multiple genes at once. With lower off-target activity than Cas9 and strong trans-cleavage activity, LbCas12a supports both high-fidelity genome engineering and sensitive CRISPR-based detection.
